Events have escalated quickly in Ukraine and its people are showing extraordinary inspiring and courageous resistance, in the face of the Russian invasion. The Classic Pop team is pledging its humanitarian support for the people of Ukraine and their struggle.
Our TV screens bear witness to the appalling suffering being inflicted on ordinary citizens, and we might feel powerless to help. But what we can do is use our fortunate position to help those that really need us right now.
The best way that we can help is to donate money to the incredible charities helping those directly affected.
Our parent company, Anthem, has got our appeal off to a start by donating £10,000 to the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal. Plus it has pledged to make an ongoing donation of 5% of its monthly profits to the appeal throughout all of 2022.

The charity has been chosen as one that directly supports the Red Cross, the people displaced by the fighting as well as helping host countries cope with the influx of refugees, currently estimated to be over 700,000 but potentially rising as high as 4 million.
